Little Spark’s Journey

We all need support to unlock our full potential and become the best versions of ourselves. However, sometimes, that support isn’t readily available. “Little Spark” emerges into a challenging world, but with the assistance of those around, they manage to radiate brilliance.

This story was crafted for the launch of One Child Every Child, a groundbreaking research initiative in Canada, envisioning a world where all children are healthy, empowered, and thriving. Published by the University of Calgary and written by Sarah McGinnis, I was tasked with creating a series of illustrations narrating Little Spark’s journey. The style is a bit more free-flowing than my usual work, with the challenge of portraying a non-anthropomorphized spark character that still evokes emotion and easy connection.
